The Yamaha PSR-E273 is a 61-key portable keyboard that offers nearly 400 different sounds, 100 styles for accompaniment, and 102 songs. It’s a versatile choice for practice and learning, featuring lesson guides and Yamaha’s Education Suite (Y.E.S.). By using an optional cable, you can expand your musical experience by connecting to an iPhone, iPad, or iPod.

With built-in speakers and amplifiers, along with an Ultra-Wide Stereo processor, the keyboard delivers excellent stereo sound. You can also use headphones for private practice or playing. The instrument includes basic effects to enhance the sound quality, and it even has a dedicated piano button and an input for a damper pedal (pedal not included) to achieve an authentic piano sound.

The Yamaha Education Suite lesson functions enable practicing at different skill levels. The selected song’s playback adjusts according to your performance tempo. If you connect to an iPhone, iPad, or iPod (requires an optional i-UX1 cable), you can further enrich your keyboard experience.

You can optimize the overall sound using various EQ settings on the instrument and tailor the output for different listening situations. The Ultra-Wide Stereo processor creates a broad stereo image that extends beyond the speakers. There’s also a sustain pedal input (pedal not included) and an auxiliary input for external sources.

The keyboard has 61 keys and a polyphony of 32. It uses AWM Stereo Sampling for synthesis. There are 385 presets, and it’s compatible with GM and XGlite. With 100 preset accompaniment styles, multi-fingered fingering, and style control options, you have a wide range of musical possibilities.

The keyboard includes 102 preset songs, which can be played back in SMF format and recorded as files. It features effects like reverb, chorus, Master EQ, and Ultra-Wide Stereo. The panel sustain can be controlled from the menu. The connectors include a 1/4″ TRS headphone jack, a 1/4″ TS pedal input (pedal not included), and an auxiliary input.

The lesson/guide functions cover listening and learning, timing, waiting, chord dictionary, and A-B repeat. The Yamaha Education Suite (Y.E.S.) is also available. A metronome is included with a tempo range of 32 to 280 BPM. The transpose function spans from -12 to 0 and 0 to +12. Additionally, the keyboard features a PIANO button for quick access.

The built-in amplifiers deliver 2.5 W x 2.5 W power, and the speakers are 4.7″ (12 cm) each. The custom LCD display provides clear information. The keyboard can be powered by a 12 VDC external power supply (not included) or 6 AA batteries (not included), with power consumption of 8 W.
